The app is ok, I like the interface and everything. My only problem that the wallpapers are not retina resolution. I have a 15” retina and most of them look really bad. Can’t you improve on that?

These are not retina images. I saved an image to the desktop on my retina MBP and instead of being 2880x1800 (the native resolution of the retina screen), the image is a non-retina 1440x900.

Great app, love it on the phone too… My only request would be some double monitor wallpaper with left and right images.

I like to change my desktop pictures at least once every day. Using Apple’s built in Desktop is OK except you have to find desktop pictures on your own and load them into the pictures folder plus it does not retain a record of favourite desktop pictures that you like to use. “Pimp" does all that for you. Simply launch the application and select or change the desktop picture manually or set the preference to change the picture for you from every 5 minutes to every month. It shows you the desktop pictures by category, your favourites, and new desktop pictures. A huge improvement over using Apple’s “basic” desktop changer. And there’s nothing wrong with using Apple’s desktop changer. HOWEVER, there is one issue for me at this time: I started with version 2 and now it is at version 2.1 which is fine except this app does not self update and I am not always on line. When I cheched the version it said version 2 and did not prompt me that there is a new version available. I was only aware because of MacUpdate. The developer should take a look at that and find a remedy.

The clock is a bonus. I really like the quality and diversity of the background images. The constant reminders to rate it, and try other apps though… a bit annoying. But overall, I really liked this app.

Ok….more precise I may be missing something here to get the animated clock to work. I can not get it off the “24hrs clock to the AM/PM” I want. What am I doing wrong on this new PIMPED-UP wall paper and Clock, But then I am stil learning APPLE and my MacMini. This coming fomr a life time Windows user. And I have no intentions of ever going back to CRAPPY WINDOWS. Thus far I am loving my MAC all I NEED IS HELP TEAKING IT PLS

Love this app! Lots to choose from and it changes on a regular basis. Was 5 stars but... Now, 6 months later, for some reason it does not work???

Most pictures have too low resolution like 1200x800. It can not be used on a mac

Bought the app after seeing the "Wallpapers" app. Every time I try to open the app, it crashes. So for now, its useless. Going to try and get a refund from App Store.

I’ve been using PYS for more than an year on my iphone and macbook. They quality of the wallpapers is truly awesome. I would like PYS to bring a feature which would choose a new wallpaper for me everyday or at a custom frequency level.

When viewing galleries of wallpapers, scrolling causes the screen to jerk up and down uncontrollably, a totally unacceptable bug for a paid product. Adding a clock is confusing — you have to enable Animation, then use a subset of left-right arrows to navigate to the clock you want. All in all, I regret buying the app — it’s easier to just hit up a wallpaper site and find what you want. If the app weren’t so buggy, I’d give it higher praise. Developer needs to finish the app before charging for it!

GREAT photos! Unfortunately there is no way one can delete any picture(s) you have saved. Second, there is no random posting of one’s photos unlike the feature offered like the old Webshots program. It would be great to be able to cycle one’s photos every hour or day.

Please visit System Preferences / Desktop & Screen Saver and apply any default picture there to activate Pimp Your Screen. After that press Save in Pimp Your Screen to save the wallpaper of your choice. Возможно не совместима версия с моей версией.

This app was great for the price but then a couple of weeks after I installed the app they took away most of the good wall papers the app had. What happened I feel like I have been fooled… I paid for an app with thousands of wall papers and now it only has a few… Is there a reason for this?

The first and most important is that as soon as I start the App my Macbook Pro starts getting hot and the fans turn on full blast. I tried this severel times and the Activity Monitor program that came with the OS said my cpu was at 100+ percent usage. 130 I think maybe more. No other program has done this. I now don’t feel like its safe for my hardware to open this App. The second is the wallpapers are not HD, or there are no optons that I saw for different resolution screens. It’s definately not as clear of a picture as other higher resolution pictures or wallpapers I have found else ware. I am very disappointed with this App and want a refund, even though it wasn’t expensive. I feel like I will never use it again.

The custom HD backgrounds and wallpapers are tremendously beautiful and relaxing. I enjoy the various vivid colors and contrasts.
